Configure and use AI responsibly

Add a local or hosted provider, test its destination, approve external sharing per conversation and review contextual data before sending.

DOCUMENTED VERSIONdFlow~IQ Community 1.0

First-party product documentation. Instructions are verified against the dFlow~IQ desktop implementation. Labels appear exactly as they do in the application where practical.

08.1

Choose a provider type

  • OpenAI API or ChatGPT sign-in.
  • Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, DeepSeek or Mistral.
  • Local Ollama.
  • An OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

Hosted endpoints require HTTPS. Plain HTTP is accepted only for loopback local endpoints.

08.2

Save provider configuration

Provider name

A unique local name.

Base URL

HTTP/HTTPS URL with no embedded credentials, query or fragment.

Model

Provider model or custom model ID.

Credential source

Environment variable, secure local storage, OAuth token or no key where supported.

Enable this provider

Makes it available to the workbench.

Use as the default

Requires the provider to be enabled.

Direct keys and pasted OAuth tokens use operating-system credential storage. Environment-variable configuration stores only the variable name.

08.3

Test the provider

  1. Save the provider.
  2. Select Test connection.
  3. dFlow~IQ asks the provider to reply exactly OK and waits up to 45 seconds.
  4. Resolve configuration, credential, endpoint, model, timeout or rate-limit errors before use.

A hosted provider may bill this minimal test request.
